Matsetse Mokgoto

Matsetse is the Managing Director of Lofty Brainchild and is responsible for the overall management of the company. Along with managing project teams and engaging with key stakeholders, he is mainly responsible for implementing strategy and growing the business by ensuring it delivers on its commitment to provide a technology-led, value-adding, and customer-centric service.

Matsetse has a deep understanding of financial systems, particularly when it comes to large entity reporting. He is a qualified IT professional with an Honours Degree in Informatics and has more than nine years’ experience delivering data-driven solutions for various organisations, mainly in the financial sector.

Thusho Mokgoto

Thusho is the Financial Director and oversees all financial operational aspects of the business; from pricing, budgeting, and IFRS to strategic planning, financial reporting, and project implementation. Thusho is also responsible for furthering Lofty Brainchild’s business development initiatives and, with his strong IFRS background and understanding of accounting systems, plays a key role in project implementation.

Thusho is a qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) with ten years’ experience in Systems, Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, and Corporate Finance. Thusho completed his articles at PwC. He later relocated to Los Angeles to serve in PwC’s Assurance division. Upon returning to South Africa. He spent two years as a Corporate Finance Manager in PwC’s Corporate Finance division before subsequently joining Kleoss Capital, a mid-market private equity firm in the role of transactor. Thusho was previously a director of Debt Rescue (Pty) Ltd and was a member of the audit committee.

Ashis Aboobacker

Chief Technical Officer

Ashis is the Chief Technical Officer and is responsible for all technology-related operations from solutions design to implementation. He is an electronics engineering graduate with nearly 20 years’ experience in solutions architecture. Over the years he has designed enterprise logical data models, BI reporting frameworks, and implemented data warehouse environments for numerous organisations around the world. These implementations have spanned across technologies such as Oracle, Teradata, Microsoft, and IBM amongst others. He has also applied leading frameworks such as FSLDM.

Sammy Mgijima

Business Development

Sammy is the Business Development and Strategy Executive tasked with defining long-term strategic goals, building key customer relationships, and identifying business opportunities. His role includes negotiating and closing deals while creating long-term value for customers. He also forms part of the consulting team during implementations.

Sammy has ten years’ experience working in the retirement fund industry where his roles included being a senior consultant on various large private pension funds, including four years spent in a business development role where he was part of the team that was tasked with growing Old Mutual’s client base and assets under management.

Ronald Mushonga

Ronald is a Senior Project Manager primarily responsible for client implementations. With his strong IFRS background and understanding of accounting systems, Ronald leads and oversees advisory and implementation processes. His role includes furthering Lofty Brainchild’s business development initiatives.

Ronald is a qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) with a strong background in financial reporting and financial audits. He currently serves as a director of Clearshell which is focused on business advisory & accounting services. His most recent role was as CFO reporting to the Group CEO in Huge Telecom a listed Group in the Telecommunications industry, where he was responsible for all financial functions, internal control structures, systems, and was integral in strategic planning, implementation and review. Ronald chaired the Executive committee, was also a member of the Audit Committee and was responsible for the Group’s Financial Audits.
